OTIS AND O’RILEY FAMILY
On July 2nd we will be making our next special effort to support Otis O’Riley and his family financially.
From Laite: Otis was supposed to start his chemo treatment last Wednesday for this block but we all got Covid. Fortunately Otis had it the mildest so there was no hospital visit but his treatment was postponed which puts us behind schedule. Today is a big day as he’ll receive three different chemotherapy medications. It will be similar to the beginning of his journey where he’ll be quite sick and lose a lot of his strength in his legs. This block will also hit his blood counts really hard so they have told us to expect many delays and many hospital stays. Mo and I are very anxious and Otis is already feeling a bit down as we know what to expect and it is going to be tough. But we hope after a few more months we will start to see some light at the end of the tunnel. This block is the last of the “intense” treatment which means hopefully his central line will be removed and he’ll start taking his chemo in a tablet form.
POP UP PICNIC
Please come and join us on 21st July at our Pop Up Picnic at 11.30 am in the park in Mobbs Lane. Bring your lunch and a little to share plus good conversation.
